From a Missionary’s Heart Y
Being a Servant
…and He made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to Him be the glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:6)
God created us for service! Jesus said “whoever desires to be the greatest must become a servant.” There are many people that we must serve in our lives, and there are many needs all around us. God wants us to serve. My human nature is to be selfish, and let others serve me. Then, how can I become a servant? First, I must change the way I think! What I think will eventually become what I do. So, if I think like a servant, then I will become a servant. If you are not a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray that you will change the way you think and find someone to serve today. Remember, you will not have to look very far to find someone in need.
Each year we have short-term mission projects in which you can serve the Lord. We would love for you to participate as a volunteer in one of our projects. Please pray over our short-term mission project listed on our home page, and choose at least one in which to partner with us and serve the Lord with in the country of Brazil. You will be a blessing, and you will be blessed! Come join us as we serve the Lord Jesus in the country of Brazil!

From A Missionary’s Heart:
God never ceases to amaze me in His faithfulness to His children. When there is a need the Lord always provides. He may not provide in the way or in the timing that we choose, but never the less, God is faithful to provide in His way and within His perfect will. The Lord has blessed MOI with many resources for our ministry. We are committed and dedicated to using those resources to make a Kingdom difference for the cause of Christ. We desire to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to see lives added into the Kingdom of God, to see lives liberated and empowered by the gospel of Jesus, and to see hope in the eyes of one that once was lost.
God has given us many ministry partners including individuals and churches. Each year our ministry grows as God adds more partners in prayer, volunteers, and financial supporters. Currently, we have over 160 North American and Brazilian volunteers serving in 2005, we have over 550 people who have given of their financial resources, we have many, many people who pray for us on a regular basis, and God has saved over 4600 souls since MOI’s conception. We could not do what we do without you. YOU are a vital part of our ministry. Thank you for helping us to live out the “call” that the Lord has placed on our lives. Thank you for “holding the ropes.”
There are many needs in the country of Brazil, most of which are of extreme necessity. We spend a lot of time in prayer seeking God’s perfect will for our ministry which includes choosing the exact communities in which He wants us to minister. Pray that we listen intently as God continues to give us wisdom as we minister to the sweet people of Brazil.

| Why missions? Because missions is the very heart beat of God. From Genesis to Revelation we can read that God’s design to draw all people unto Himself is missions. Missions is simply obeying the mandates of God, i.e. ‘go into all the world’, and “be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth’. |
|
God will honor your commitment to Him in the area of missions, therefore, do not delay, GO… Many times the Lord has used missions as a vehicle to bless my life as He used me to bless the lives of others. I have been actively involved in missions since 1994. God has taken me on mission to Trinidad and Tobago, Africa, Honduras, Mexico, and Brazil. Currently I am serving as a full time missionary to the country of Brazil. |

I have heard many Christians say that they are waiting on God to call them to go. Oh my friend, He has already called you to go into the mission field. Matthew 28:18-20 states, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This could very well be the only call that you ever receive from the Lord. Do not delay your decision for another minute. GO into the world and share the love of Jesus Christ, the only hope to eternal life. |
| There are literally millions of opportunities for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the greatest story ever lived, written, and told. Jesus died on the cross, and on the third day, the power of God raised Him to new life so that ALL people could have eternal life, and that not one should perish. People all around the world need to hear this story and have the opportunity to respond to it. God has entrusted every believer with the responsibility of taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. |
| While missions is life changing for those hearing the gospel and experiencing Salvation, it is equally life changing for those who go and share the saving knowledge of Jesus with others. God will use missions as a tool to shape and mold you into Christ likeness; to make you more passionate and compassionate about the things of God; to teach you how to pray and completely depend upon Him; to teach you the importance of others praying for you each and every day; to stretch you beyond what you ever thought possible; to teach you patience; to teach you to love as Christ loves; to show you how to make a Kingdom difference in the world in which you live; to ______________________. Go on mission with God and YOU complete the last phrase, and discover first hand the answers to “why missions?” |
| God is ready to lead. Are you willing to go wherever God may lead? Will you be like Isaiah of ole’ and say, “here am I Lord send me”? May God richly bless you as you embark on one of the greatest journeys of your life. |
